I lived in Oman for three years, where the heat can be intense and unrelenting. Yet, even in the hottest air, the desert rose continues to bloom — vibrant, resilient, and full of life. I’ve always found it fascinating how this plant thrives in such extreme conditions, storing water in its thick, swollen stem to survive long, dry spells.
In this painting, I wanted to capture that spirit of endurance and beauty through color contrast. It’s a celebration of resilience, life, and the quiet strength that flourishes even in the harshest places on Earth.
